What is the prop collection?
The prop collection is a collection of props and furnishings available for rent for film, theater, and photography productions, as well as for events and advertising agencies, and private occasions. Our collection offers a wide range of items from various eras and styles.
Who can rent props from the collection?
Our props can be rented by production companies, theaters, photographers, event planners, and even private individuals. Whether you're planning an unforgettable party or executing a professional project, our collection is available to you. To make an online reservation, prior registration and verification are required.
Can I view the props before renting them?
Certainly! Since many of our props are still awaiting their online appearance, we recommend visiting our collection. No registration is required, and everyone is welcome during our opening hours.
How long can I rent props?
The minimum rental period is 3 days. There is no maximum rental period. Extensions are possible depending on availability but must be arranged in advance. Please contact our customer service for extension requests.

How can I rent props from the online collection?
To rent props, please visit our online catalog at https://.shop.requisitenfundus.com. Register with your name and email address (and telephone number!). Once logged in, you will have access to many features.
Favorites?
By marking the star (whether in the overview or in the item details), props will be added to your favorites list. Favorites serve as your personal wish list. Here, you can save items that caught your attention while browsing the online shop or walking through our halls, and that you'd like to remember. Favorites do not check availability and can only be viewed by you.
Projects are used to organize your work. For these projects (e.g., different films or events), various motifs/sets can be created. Here, you can make various preparations and edit your projects and motifs as needed. The online collection saves everything, so don’t worry if you need to quickly close your laptop. As long as you haven’t submitted the request through the “request now”button, there will be no charges.
Make sure that you have selected the correct motif when choosing props (top right, above the item hit list).
"Request Now"?
Only by clicking the "Request Now" button do the motifs you want to request become a concrete rental inquiry. Choose which motif you want to inquire about and follow the ordering process on the page.
IMPORTANT: You will be asked to create a customer profile, which corresponds to the invoice recipient (usually the company). Please make sure to upload a signed cost acceptance form; without this, we can only process the request with reservation.
We will review your request as quickly as possible and respond with a non-binding offer via email. This email will contain a link through which you can confirm the offer. Only then will the items be definitively reserved for your appointment.
You can view all requests at any time in your customer account. Simply log in and go to ORDERS. Here you can see all requests, check their status, or confirm orders that have been approved by us.
How long do I have to wait for a confirmation?
We process your request as quickly as possible. Please be patient, as we only want to offer you items that are actually available (film professionals know how the best planning can sometimes be quickly overturned), so we check each prop before confirming it.
How do I receive the props?
The props will be made available for self-pickup and can be collected at any time during our opening hours. The Requisitenfundus Babelsberg does not generally offer delivery. However, if needed, we would be happy to recommend someone who provides this service.
Are the props packed?
Furniture is provided unpackaged. Smaller props are handed over in the best possible transport-ready condition (boxes, plastic wrap, etc.). Furniture blankets and tie-down straps can be rented for a fee – it is of course best if the pick-up person is prepared and has some packing materials with them.
Please speak with us if you have special transportation requirements (e.g., packaging on pallets for customs, international shipping, etc.) – we will try to find a solution.
How is the return of props handled?
The return takes place at our prop house during business hours. Please ensure that all items are returned in the same condition as they were borrowed. Any damages or losses must be reported immediately.
What happens if a prop is damaged?
If damage occurs during the rental period, please inform us immediately. Damage, loss, and repair costs will be invoiced after the project/production is completed.
Who is responsible for the rented props?
The borrower is responsible for the props throughout the entire rental period. We recommend taking out insurance to protect against possible damage or loss. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more information.
What does it cost to rent props?
The costs vary depending on the type and quantity of props rented. You can view the estimated costs at any time in your user account. Additional fees may apply for extensions, late returns, or cleaning and repair costs.
If you rent the props for an extended period, the following discount rules generally apply, unless otherwise agreed:
From 7 rental days – 10% discount
From 14 rental days – 25% discount
From 18 rental days – 35% discount
From 36 rental days – 50% discount
From 60 rental days – 70% discount
Rental days are weekdays from Monday to Friday; weekends and public holidays in Brandenburg are not counted.
How is payment made?
The invoice will be issued after the props have been returned and sent by post or email. Payment is made via bank transfer. Payment details can be found on the invoice. For small orders, cash payment may be arranged by agreement.
Is there a deposit?
No deposit is required for existing customers. The billing is done after the props have been returned.
For new customers, we reserve the right to arrange an advance payment.
How can I modify a request or adjust an offer?
All requests and offers can be modified independently up to three days before the scheduled pickup date. To do so, simply open the corresponding order. As soon as a change is made (e.g., rental date or prop selection), our staff will review the request again and send a new confirmation link. From three days before the start of the rental period, offers can only be changed by email at props@studiobabelsberg.com or by phone at +49 331 7212577.
